My Dad Bruce and I, during his last visit, we talked about doing a painting together. I came up with an idea to divide a subject into a grid of equal parts. One of us would paint the even numbered grids or squares and the other one would paint the odd grids or squares using 6” x6” canvases. Well, that’s what we did… but I forgot to tell you that he painted his 1500 miles away in his studio while I painted mine here in my studio. The deal was that we could not show each other our squares until they were all done and we put them together. This was the end product. It was a unique collaborative art idea and one worth exploring further!
